THE FOUNDATION OF A STRONG ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Upgrade your vehicle’s electrical backbone with Resilient Sounds 1/0 Premium High Conductivity Copper Wire, Made in the USA.
What Is the Big 3 Upgrade?
The Big 3 upgrade reinforces your vehicle’s three most critical electrical paths to reduce voltage drop and improve current flow:
Battery Negative → Chassis Ground
Engine Block → Chassis Ground
Alternator Positive → Battery Positive
Using undersized or mixed-metal wire limits system performance. Our true 1/0, 99.9% copper wire ensures your charging system can keep up with high-power amplifiers.
Why Use Resilient Sounds Wire for the Big 3
99.9% High Conductivity Copper for superior current transfer
True 1/0 AWG — no undersized strands
Ultra-Low Resistance reduces voltage drop
Flexible, Heat-Resistant Jacket for clean routing

🔧 BIG 3 UPGRADE – INSTALLATION STEPS
⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE
-
Disconnect the negative battery terminal before beginning installation.
-
Use proper eye protection and tools.
-
This guide is a general reference — vehicle layouts may vary.
STEP 1 – Battery Negative to Chassis Ground
Purpose: Strengthen the primary ground path for your entire electrical system.
-
Locate the factory ground point from the battery negative to the chassis.
-
Clean the chassis contact area to bare metal for optimal conductivity.
-
Crimp a copper ring terminal onto one end of a 5-ft wire run.
-
Secure the ring terminal to the chassis using an existing or upgraded ground bolt.
-
Attach the opposite end to the battery negative terminal.
-
Seal connections using included heat shrink.
Result: Reduced ground resistance and improved voltage stability.
STEP 2 – Engine Block to Chassis Ground
Purpose: Improve grounding between the engine, alternator, and chassis.
-
Locate a solid engine block grounding point (factory ground preferred).
-
Clean both contact surfaces to bare metal.
-
Crimp copper ring terminals on both ends of the second 5-ft wire run.
-
Secure one end to the engine block and the other to the chassis.
-
Apply heat shrink to protect the terminations.
Result: Improved alternator efficiency and reduced electrical strain.
STEP 3 – Alternator Positive to Battery Positive
Purpose: Increase current flow from the alternator to the battery.
-
Identify the alternator positive output post.
-
Route the third 5-ft wire run safely to the battery positive terminal.
-
Crimp copper ring terminals to both ends and secure connections.
-
Seal all exposed terminals with heat shrink.
Result: Stronger charging performance and reduced voltage drop under load.
STEP 4 – Final Inspection
-
Verify all bolts are tight and connections are secure.
-
Ensure wires are routed away from sharp edges and heat sources.
-
Reconnect the battery negative terminal.
-
Start the vehicle and verify normal operation.
✅ INSTALLATION COMPLETE
Your vehicle’s electrical system is now reinforced with true 1/0, 99.9% copper wiring, improving voltage stability and supporting high-power audio systems.
